Live Seminar CE Credit Information

Commonwealth Educational Seminars is accredited by many professional organizations to offer Continuing Education credit. Many states enact licensing requirements for continuing education that override the rules of even a national accreditation organization. So, please check with your state Licensing Board or accrediting organization for the latest regulations, especially in regards to online CE. Some states have restrictions on the number of hours you may take online. As state boards meet frequently and revise and/or clarify license requirements regularly we always recommend you check with your state board for the most recent information.


Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education credit programs. CES maintains responsibility for these programs.
Social Workers:

Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES), provider #1117 is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) through the Approval Continuing Education (ACE) Program. CES maintains responsibility for these programs. ASWB Approval Period: 9/1/12-12/31/15. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credits.

The following states/provinces endorse the ASWB program:

Al, AK, Alberta, AZ, CT, DE, DC, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, Manitoba, MA, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NH, NM, NC, ND, NJ, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, Virgin Islands, VI, VT, WA, WI, and WY.

In addition, CES is an Approved Continuing Education Provider for California Social Workers (Approval # PCE 4693) and Florida Social Workers (CE Provider #50-9633.)

Licensed Professional Counselors

CES is approved for California Professional Counselors - Approval # PCE 4693. Approved for Florida Professional Counselors. 

Massachusetts Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (I-III):

LADCs receive  Continuing Education credit for each of these programs. As A NAADAC and NBCC Approved Sponsor, CES is a Recognized Entity by the Commonwealth Of Massachusetts. Our offerings may be used to satisfy the continuing education requirements for Massachusetts LADCs.


Commonwealth Educational Seminars is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE)
  Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Registered Dietitians (RDs) and dietetic technicians, registered (DTRs) receive continuing professional education units (CPEUs) for completion of our programs/materials.


As an APA approved provider, CES programs are accepted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
These courses can be utilized by nurses to renew their certification and will be accepted by the ANCC.

Every state Board of Nursing accepts ANCC approved programs except California and Iowa. CES is also an approved Continuing Education provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider # CEP15567) which is also accepted by the Iowa Board of Nursing.

Marriage and Family Therapists:

The following Marriage and Family Therapy Boards accept programs offered by APA, NBCC or ASWB approved providers: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, LA, MD, ME, MS, MT, NE, NH, NJ, NM, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, VA, VT, WA AND WI.

CES maintains responsibility for these programs. In addition, CES is an approved CE provider for Florida Marriage & Family Therapists (CE Provider # 50-9633), an approved California Continuing Education Provider for Marriage & Family Therapists (Approval #PCE 4693) and an approved Continuing Education Provider for Texas Marriage & Family Therapists (Provider Number 558).

Commonwealth Educational Seminars is an approved provider (5596) and adheres to NBCC sponsorship guidelines. Check with your state board regarding acceptance of NBCC approved programs as part of your continuing education for license renewal.


Commonwealth Educational Seminars is a Registered Provider in Massachusetts. Massachusetts educators will receive a certificate for Continuing Education hours. You may receive PDPs from your district by combining these hours with follow-up activities in your district for a total of 10 hours or more.
