Live Seminar CE Credit Information

Commonwealth Educational Seminars is accredited by many professional organizations to offer Continuing Education credit. Many states enact licensing requirements for continuing education that override the rules of even a national accreditation organization. So, please check with your state Licensing Board or accrediting organization for the latest regulations, especially in regards to online CE. Some states have restrictions on the number of hours you may take online. As state boards meet frequently and revise and/or clarify license requirements regularly we always recommend you check with your state board for the most recent information.
 
Psychologists:

Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education credit programs. CES maintains responsibility for these programs.
 
Social Workers:

Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES), provider #1117 is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org through the Approval Continuing Education (ACE) Program. CES maintains responsibility for these programs. ASWB Approval Period: 9/1/12-12/31/15. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credits.

The following states/provinces endorse the ASWB program:


Al, AK, Alberta, AZ, CT, DE, DC, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KY, Manitoba, MA, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NH, NM, NC, ND, NJ, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, Virgin Islands, VI, VT, WA, WI, and WY.


In addition, CES is an Approved Continuing Education Provider for California Social Workers (Approval # PCE 4693) and Florida Social Workers (CE Provider #50-9633.)


Massachusetts Social Workers:

Please note important changes in continuing Education Requirements!!

Recent changes in the CE regulations allow 25% of continuing education credit to be earned by programs sponsored by the APA, NBCC, NHA, ANCC & ACCME . However, you may earn
100% of your required CE credit by taking OUR Continuing Education offerings which are approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), which is a recognized entity by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Social Workers.

Licensed Professional Counselors:

Commonwealth Educational Seminars is an approved provider (5596) by the National Board For Certified Counselors and adheres to NBCC sponsorship guidelines. These programs are acceptable for NBCC continuing education credits. CES maintains responsibility for these programs.

The following state Counseling Boards will accept programs offered by NBCC approved providers as part of license renewal: AL, AK, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, ID, IL, KY, LA, ME, MA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NC, NV, OK, OR, RI, SD, TN, TX, WA, and WV.

In addition CES is approved for California Professional Counselors - Approval # PCE 4693.
Check with your state board or CES regarding acceptance of NBCC approved programs as part of your continuing education for license renewal.

Substance Abuse Counselors:

Commonwealth Educational Seminars is approved by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) Approved Education Provider Program #174. Continuing education credit is granted for each of these programs.

Massachusetts Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (I-III):


LADCs receive  Continuing Education credit for each of these programs. As A NAADAC and NBCC Approved Sponsor, CES is a Recognized Entity by the Commonwealth Of Massachusetts. Our offerings may be used to satisfy the continuing education requirements for Massachusetts LADCs.
 

Dietitians:

Commonwealth Educational Seminars is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE)
  Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Registered Dietitians (RDs) and dietetic technicians, registered (DTRs) receive continuing professional education units (CPEUs) for completion of our programs/materials.

Nurses:

 

As an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider Number CEP 15567), CES programs are accepted by every State Board of Nursing with the exception of Delaware.





    Certified Counselors:


Commonwealth Educational Seminars is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors (5596). We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. Continuing Education credit is granted to NBCC members for each program.

Marriage and Family Therapists:

The following Marriage and Family Therapy Boards accept programs offered by NBCC or ASWB approved providers: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, LA, MD, ME, MS, MT, NE, NH, NJ, NM, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, VA, VT, WA AND WI.

CES maintains responsibility for these programs. In addition, CES is an approved CE provider for Florida Marriage & Family Therapists (CE Provider # 50-9633), an approved California Continuing Education Provider for Marriage & Family Therapists (Approval #PCE 4693) and an approved Continuing Education Provider for Texas Marriage & Family Therapists (Provider Number 557).

Educators:


Commonwealth Educational Seminars is a Registered Provider in Massachusetts. Massachusetts educators will receive a certificate for Continuing Education hours. You may receive PDPs from your district by combining these hours with follow-up activities in your district for a total of 10 hours or more.
